Magnus Melander is a Swedish entrepreneur and independent adviser in general management, sales, marketing, branding, business development and M&A. His specialities are helping companies to improve their business by leveraging new technology focusing since 2010 on Internet of Things and the Digital Transformation it enables. He founded the IoT blog in November 2011, initiated the alliance for Swedish IoT entrepreneurs, SMSE, in March 2012 and was nominated for the Mobile Initiative of the year award ”Guldmobilen” 2013. 2014 He also co-founded the Deep Tech hub THINGS, where focus on how to transform innovation in small companies to massive value creation in large companies.
Magnus has 35 years of international ICT industry experience, including executive positions with companies such as IBM, Apple, and 3Com. He is also an experienced boardmember and advisor to management in small and large organisations, primarily around Digital Transformation and eco-systems.
He is a frequent speaker at international industry events, has spent a lot of time in China and was the author of the BrainHeart Wi-Fi Chronicle 2001-2005. He started the internet of things chronicle in August 2013 and have written ”What decision makers need to know about M2m aka Internet of things”
